Servant living

Paul’s letter to the Romans imagines a world of justice and peace, welcoming and inclusive, centered in a confession of faith in the name of Jesus Christ. We are called to participate in this vision living in a way that welcomes Christ by welcoming and serving others. When Jesus most needed to give his disciples a concrete example of what it means to follow him, he took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist and washed their feet. Then he reminded them that if this is how he, their master, treated them, they also ought to treat one another in the same manner.

Find a way to offer yourself in service to someone today. When we serve one another, we confess Christ in a way that no words could ever match.

Advent Blessings.

This Christmas, give the gift that only you can give,
...give yourself this Christmas!   (Peter Mayer)
