Welcome one another
Hospitality is central in Scripture. Welcoming the stranger is just what we do. The Hebrew people were constantly reminded that they were once a foreign people in a foreign land. They were to welcome others because they had been welcomed and cared for by God. “Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
I invite you to an act of hospitality today. It need not be anything big, just a little sign of welcome. Maybe this act is not something you will be able to accomplish immediately, but something that will need a little planning. As Mother Teresa often reminded us, “when we welcome the stranger, we welcome the Christ.”
Advent Blessings.
